Growing up in a small North Texas suburb, Michael’s interest in the natural world stemmed from an innate curiosity and exploratory spirit. Finding importance in integrating the natural world into everyday experiences of urban dwellers Michael persued a degree in Landscape Architecture at Texas Tech University.

Inspired by the unique landscape of the Texas High Plains, Michael’s academic focus became centered around regionalism and sense of place, leading him to join Ten Eyck Landscape Architects in 2020 with the goal to continue that mission into built work.

Michael recently oversaw the construction of Indian Lodge, Cedar Hill Signature Park & Public Library, Texas Tech Academic Sciences Building, and UTEP Advanced Manufacturing and Aerospace Center. He is currently overseeing construction of the TWU Quakertown Memorial and San Antonio River Authority Sheridan Campus.

Within the past year he has managed the LBJ Wildflower Center Master Plan Horticultural Vision, Midland Downtown Vision Plan, and multiple private ranches. Currently he is managing the Enchanted Rock State Natural Area Centennial Expansion.

Outside of the office, you can find Michael at the local watering hole, watching movies and tv shows, taking film photos, traveling with his partner, listening to vinyl, and spending time with friends and family.
